9/14/26  This week will be start working on Unit 2 in our S/V book.  The tests will be given on Friday,  October 2nd.

We are working on subjects and predicates in grammar.  ***Our first grammar test will be taken on September 17th.  This will be a complete test on the entire first unit on sentences.  Students should complete their homework, and study a little each night in order to be prepared.

I am so excited that we are starting our first novel of the year!  All novel work will be completed during class.

9/3/26   Welcome to Fourth Grade ELA class!  This week we have been working on routines and have been discussing our summer reading.

Students will have their first Spelling/Vocabulary Tests on Friday, September 11th.  The spelling words are the same as the vocabulary in the orange workbook.

We will be working on "Sentences" in grammar, and will be completing short written responses based on a book I will be sharing with students throughout the week.

I will be sending (via our room mom) the link for our first novel, Schooled, by Gordon Kormon.  You may purchase on your own or through the school link.  Our school does not elevate prices if you order from us.  It is just meant to be a convience for parents.  We will begin our novel on Monday, September 14th.

Our first Scholastic Book order is due on Friday, September 11th by noon if you plan to make a purchase.  Please order directly online rather than sending in a paper copy (this delays orders).  The code for my classroom is:  RVLPB.  Thank you for your support!
