Welcome to 4th Grade

My name is Mrs. Ann McGrath and I teach 4th Grade and 5th Grade Math at SS Peter and Paul. I attended Medaille College for my undergraduate degree and Canisius College for my graduate degree. I have been a teacher at SSPP for more than 20 years. I am an alumni and my 2 sons are recent graduates as well.

In addition to the core subjects of ELA, Math Social Studies, Science, and Religion, I think it’s important to focus on the students’ social-emotional health. I also like students to be responsible learners, making sure they are developing a strong sense of responsibility in all areas of their lives, not just in their school work.

In 4th grade, we use technology to aid in our learning. We use Google Classroom as our learning platform. Students use Chromebooks throughout the day. They use various websites including Moby Max and Prodigy to reinforce skills taught in class.

4th Grade is my happy place and the students are happy to be in my classroom. We have fun, we laugh a lot, and we also learn a lot!
