I have been teaching for 20 years with Saints Peter and Paul being my home for 18 years. I have spent the majority of my career working with middle school students. I’m excited to continue that journey in the upcoming school year, during which I’ll be teaching science to grades 6 through 8 and math to grade 6. I’ve always had a strong passion for science and hope to inspire the same enthusiasm in my students.
My educational background includes degrees in the biological sciences and a Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling. Before transitioning into education, I worked in both clinical and research settings within the healthcare field. I later earned a Master’s in Education and began working in schools, where I found my true calling in the classroom.
I come from a science-loving family. Both of my children have pursued careers and advanced degrees in science-related fields, and my husband also works in scientific research. It’s safe to say we’re a science-oriented household!
Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, gardening, and traveling. I also have a special fondness for Snoopy and the Peanuts gang! Some of my favorite scientific topics include infectious diseases, brain health, and genetic disorders. My greatest passions in life are my family and sharing the wonder of science with others.
