About SSN
SSN Institutions, founded by Dr. Shiv Nadar, Chairman of HCL Technologies, stands out as a premier center of higher learning with a mission of pursuing excellence in education and research. About IT Department and CSWG
The Department of Information Technology (IT), reflecting the ideals of its founder, imparts IT excellence to students through various academic and research activities. The Institution is certified by NAAC (A+ - Grade), NBA, and ISO 9001:2000. The department is a recognized research center of Anna University, Chennai. It has many ongoing projects funded by DST, DIT, DRDO, AICTE, and SSN trust and has organized many faculty development programs and short-term training programs sponsored by Anna University, AICTE, and ISTE. The Department of IT is also a recognized resource center under National Cyber Defence Research Centre (NCDRC).
The Cyber Security Working Group (CSWG) is an active forum in the Department of IT comprising faculty members and students who have been conducting a series of activities like seminars, workshops, and conclaves in association with various academic and industry partners for the past three years. The group was able to successfully create awareness and impart knowledge to the students and faculty fraternity through lectures and practical sessions.
