Objectives

To perform wide screening of the deep ocean underwater videos (mp4)/ images of species/coral provided by CMLRE/NIOT
To collect and perform wide screening of underwater videos (mp4)/ images of species/coral in shallow region (10m depth) in location such as Gulf of Mannar, Andaman, Lakshadweep and Coastal regions of Tamilnadu and Kerala.
To create a web library of underwater species collected from open source/ provided by CMLRE/NIOT
To develop an automated machine learning/ deep learning model to identify and classify a specific set of species and to be extended for additional species if required.
To develop a Graphical User Interface (GUI) based dashboard for an automated recognition of underwater species.
