I will post baby here when baby arrives. 😊
While it is great to be on summer break, it is still important to keep up on your academic skills in order to prepare for 5th grade.
*Practice math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). You can do this by playing online games, using flash cards, using playing cards (this works best for addition and multiplication), and fact videos on Youtube.

*Practice math skills by cooking or baking this summer (with adult supervision, of course). This is especially helpful with fractions.
*Practice reading the clock and elapsed time when you play outside or race/compete with your friends.
*Read read read! Read to yourself, a friend, family member, pet, etc. and talk to them about the book you are reading. Talk about the characters, the setting, the problem, and the solution. If you are reading an article, or something nonfiction, talk about the main idea and details that support it.
*Participate in the local library reading programs. You can often win cool prizes!
*Practice your typing skills on typing.com
Remember to practice a growth mindset. Example: maybe you think "I cannot master my multiplication facts." Try thinking "I haven't mastered my multiplication facts yet." The power of "yet" leaves room for growth as we learn.
