FAQ

Will my child who is a virtual online student receive the same education as those who are hybrid?

All students will receive the same content based on state standards! The delivery method will vary but all students will be learning the same material.

What happens if Lorain County is in Yellow on the Covid color chart?

Yellow would mean that the students who chose the in-class option for the quarter would come to school 4 days (not Wednesdays), however the 4 day schedule will start through an announcement from the superintendent, Mr. Cook. Students do NOT automatically start a 4 day attendance until they are notified to do so.

What happens if the Lorain County color chart indicates Purple?

Purple is a designation by the Governor and the school would follow the state's recommendations.

Why do I see different assignments on different 4th grade teacher websites?

The teachers meet weekly to collaborate on lessons and to design them to meet the state standards. However, just as in the individual classrooms, teacher teach differently and their assignments demonstrate the individuality of the lesson, even though the same content and standards are being taught.

Are the Virtual Online Students receiving the same quality of education as the in-class students?

Definitely! The teachers have taken extensive professional development courses that allow us to deliver the quality content the parents of our district expect. The teachers are committed to this community and want to deliver that personal attention that comes from knowing our students personally!
