About Me

Hello everyone!

Here is a little about me and my family. My husband, Chris, is a HS PE teacher. We have two children: Cade, our son, is 17 years old and in Grade 12 and Brooke, our daughter, is 15 years old and in Grade 10. This is our tenth year at Saigon South International School!  We were previously teaching in Amman, Jordan at the American Community School, where I taught Grade 3. We loved exploring the country of Jordan and learning about its interesting history. Before Jordan we taught at ABA, An IB World School in Muscat, Oman. We spent 9 amazing years there where I taught IBMYP English, Math and Humanities for 6 of those years and Grade 4 IBPYP for 3 years. Prior to this, I taught in an Elementary School in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada for 6 years. I have a math coaching certification and am passionate about helping students love math. I have a certification in technology integration (COETAIL). Recently, I also completed two online courses with Mindful Schools, and am pursuing how to incorporate mindfulness practises into the classroom. I love reading, playing volleyball and snowboarding.  I completed a Masters in International School Leadership and moved into the position of Elementary School Assistant Principal for two years. I am now in my second year of Elementary School Principal.

My goal is for all students to be safe, happy, and enjoy being at school. I strive to see the sparks in their eyes, when learning is engaging, important, innovative and FUN!
