Spruce Elementary - Wellness Counseling

Hi, my name is Avery Takaha (Ms. T) and I am the Wellness Counselor at Spruce! I am so excited to return for my second year and continue the awesome work we started last year. This year, my goal is to provide all students with access to social-emotional learning. I will be doing this on different levels:

• Tier 1 (all students): Kimochi's SEL curriculum, class presentations on SEL topics, and school assemblies

• Tier 2 (small groups of students): small group short-term counseling, restorative circles, conflict mediation, and Lunch Bunch

• Tier 3 (individual students): individual short-term counseling, 1:1 check-ins, teaching emotional regulation skills, etc.
