About me
This is my 26th year teaching 5th grade. I am passionate about teaching and my favorite subject to teach is science. My hobbies include walking and hiking in nature, reading mystery books, and gardening. My favorite color is green and my lucky number is 2. I love ladybugs, the ocean, and poppies. I have a dog named Brodie. I also enjoy watching the SF Giant's.

Homework and projects will be written down in student planners and Google Classroom. Work needs to be completed by the due date. Planners will be sent home over the weekend to be signed by parents.

Most assignments will be practicing skills taught in class and will not be graded. If an assignment is going to be graded, the assignment will have a rubric or an explanation of how it will be scored with detailed directions. Students will have letter grades in reading, writing, and math. Science, social studies, creative arts, and PE will be a participation/non participation grade. Students can raise their grades through class participation and completion of work. Progress reports will be issued midway through the semester.
