Restart Your Computer - It's a long running joke that the only thing tech support folks know how to do is tell people to restart their computers. Although, many more times than you might believe, simply restarting the computer fixes the problem.
To safely restart a Windows computer, open the Start menu and choose the Restart option. Below are detailed directions if you need them:
Open the Start menu.
Select the power icon at the bottom of your screen.
Select Restart.
2. Clear Your Browser's Cache - Yet another joke, albeit a more recent one, is that clearing your browser's cache, that collection of recently visited pages that's saved to your computer's hard drive, is the fix for all possible internet problems.
Clearing the cache is very easy to do. Every browser has a straightforward method for doing so, even if it's hidden a few layers deep in a menu.
3. Delete Your Browser's Cookies - No, there aren't real cookies in your computer (wouldn't that be nice?) but there are tiny files called cookies which are sometimes the cause of problems browsing the web.
To delete cookies in Google Chrome:
Select the 3 vertical dots in the upper-right corner of the Chrome screen.
Select More Tools > Clear browsing data.
Select the Cookies and other site data checkbox.
Select the Time range drop-down arrow and choose a time period. For example, to delete all the cookies or passwords in Chrome, no matter how long ago they were saved, select All time.
Select Clear data.
