Welcome!
Hello! My name is Megan Gathje and I am a special education teacher at Bonner Elementary. I grew up in Chatfield, MN, and now my husband and I live outside of Stewartville near our family’s dairy farm. I graduated from South Dakota State University in 2021, and earned my masters degree in Special Education from Western Governors University in 2024. This past October, we welcomed our first son, Jase, and have loved this past year of watching him grow & learn! I also enjoy playing with my two dogs: Luna and Mollie, game nights with friends and family, and reading. This will be my 5th year at Bonner Elementary, and I can’t wait to get started on another great year! 😊

Teacher Schedule
As a special education teacher, my daily schedule is determined by the services presented and documented on a students Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Syllabus or Classroom Expectations
I expect all students to come to school ready to learn and do their best! We also participate in R.O.A.R., (Respect Others, Act Responsibly) and encourage everyone to engage in positive behaviors while at school.
