Mrs. Rupprecht

I am a 1986 graduate of Stewartville Public Schools and Winona State University (1990).  I   continue to learn via great literature, online courses, my colleagues, and both my students and their families!  I have been teaching in Stewartville since 1993. During that time, I also taught 4th grade (1996-1999) but teaching kindergarten is my passion! 

Besides being a kindergarten teacher, I have also been married to my husband, Pete, for 30+ years!  Pete is one of the owners of Garten Marketplatz.  We are the proud parents of three amazing adult kids.  Our oldest, Josh(29), is a graduate of Luther College in Decorah, IA.  He is a 2nd generation member of our family business.  Our middle child, Zach(27), is a graduate of Iowa State University in Ames, IA.  He is a landscape designer at RDG in Denver, CO.  Finally, our youngest, Emilie(23), is a recent graduate of Montana State University.   She works as a senior project coordinator at Profitable Ideas Exchange (PIE) in Bozeman, MT.   We also have 13 year old golden retriever named Aubrey.  (However, she is unaware that she is a dog!)  She loves buttered popcorn, playing fetch with anything, and being with "her people."  New to our family in July 2025 is a golden retriever puppy named Greta...she is still figuring things out, but we adore her!

In addition to creating a welcoming classroom and engaging lessons for my students, I enjoy walking/hiking, music, reading, gardening, & decorating.  (Let's be honest--I also LOVE  bargain shopping!)    Some additional things that I call my "favorites" include chocolate, pizza, the color orange, vacations to the mountains or the beach, & celebrations!  I cherish time spent with my family and friends!
