Grandparents Day 2019

Our 2nd graders will be celebrating Grandparents’ Day on October 17th (Rooms 1, 2 & 3) and October 18th (Rooms 4, 5, 6 & 7.)

We are asking the parents to send in supplies and refreshments to share with the Grandparents or one special person.

We are also asking for a few parent volunteers to help with check in and to make sure our guests are able to find the classrooms easily. This will be a very short but important time commitment that will end as soon as the guests arrive in the classrooms. Unfortunately, siblings will not be able to volunteer.

Thank you in advance for your generosity! Click HERE to sign up

Walkathon Fundraiser

The Scenic Hills Home and School Association supports many student activities with funds raised by and through our families each year. With over 600 children attending Scenic Hills, it is crucial that we raise funds to support our school.

Now through Friday, October 11th students are asked to request donations from family, friends, neighbors, parents’ co-workers or business associates for their participation in the Walkathon.

Our fundraising goal this year is $25,000! This is a big number but with your support our Cougars can achieve anything! 100% of the donations will benefit Scenic students.

Students should not go door-to-door. Cash, or checks made out to “Scenic Hills Elementary H&S Association” can be collected as well as online donations will be available and processed through PayPal link.

Summer Reading Information

Summertime is a time to slow down the pace, explore new places, and enjoy some summer fun! It’s a time to go to the playground, the pool, the shore, or the mountains...check out zoos, museums, and aquariums, and spend time relaxing with family and friends. In addition to these wonderful experiences, we ask that you take time to support your child’s on-going growth as a reader, writer, mathematician, scientist, thinker, and lifelong learner. In order to help you, this Literacy Link is devoted to summertime literacy and learning activities that you can share with your child.
