Welcome!
I'm Ms. Laura Campbell and am thrilled to be your teacher this year. Although this school year will look a little bit different, I can't wait to get started 😊
This is my second year here at Springfield High School and I am truly grateful to be a part of such a wonderful community. I originally grew up outside Baltimore, Maryland, but chose to stay in the greater Philadelphia area after attending Villanova. I graduated from Villanova with a Bachelors of Arts in Secondary Education in 2017, majoring in both Education and History, and am certified to teach both English and Social Studies at the secondary level. Although my historical background may seem unusual for an English teacher, the subject truly lends itself to teaching literature. My background in history has enabled me to gain a deeper understanding of both fiction and non-fiction texts, from both the past and present. I'm currently working towards getting my Master's Degree in Education from LaSalle University.
This year, I'm teaching Language Arts III (CP), Language Arts IV (CP), and Philosophy of Pop Culture. I'm excited to see both new and familiar faces at the start of this year and look forward to building our classroom communities together.
Email is currently the best way to be in touch, and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!
Warmly,
Ms. Campbell
