"NIGHT OF THE ARTS"

ETR is holding their "Night of the Arts" on Thursday, 4/26 from 6:30-8:00pm in the halls of ETR. Stop by to see what the kids have created this year in their Art classes.

ETR BOOK SWAP & ICE CREAM SOCIAL:

Bring in an "old" book or books to homeroom and receive a ticket for each book to receive a "new" book at the Book Swap. Then stay for ice cream in the cafeteria. The homeroom with the most books for the Book Swap will receive a Ice Cream Party. The Book Swap is being held on 5/23 from 5:30-7:30pm in the halls of ETR.

8TH GRADE RECOGNITION CEREMONY:

The 8th Grade Recognition Ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 14th at 7:00pm in the SHS Auditorium. Due to limited seating, each family will be issued 3 tickets. Additional tickets were available but have all been issued. You will be notified if you were issued an extra ticket(s).

FUNDRAISER INFORMATION:

2. Chick Fil-A Spirit Night: On May 9th from 5:00-8:00pm at the Springfield Chick Fil-A. All proceeds will go towards the Book Swap & Ice Cream Social.

YEARBOOK COMMITTEE IS LOOKING FOR PICTURES:

The Yearbook Committee is looking for pictures. If you have any pictures from the many ETR events throughout the year, the Committee would love to have copies. You can forward all pictures to: etryearbook@ssdstudent.org. Please include the name of the event and the grade of the children included iin the pictures.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES:

ETR is participating in a new supply program with Yubbler.com this year. When you order your school supplies through Yubbler.com, the ETR H&S will receive 50% of the profits. All you have to do is order your supplies by August 10th to get them by the 1st day of school. The supplies will be delivered directly to your home - there will be no more school pickups. AMERICAN RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE:

ETR is hosting the American Red Cross Blood Drive in memory of Pete Mele, Sr. on April 30, 2018 from 3:00-8:00pm in ETR's Cafeteria. You can register to give blood by going to: www.redcrossblood.org and searching for ETR or email Sharon Kistler at David.kistler@comcast.net

CRAFT FAIR/FLEA MARKET:

Scenic Hills Elementary School is hosting a Craft Fair & Flea Market on 5/19. They are looking for vendors for the event. If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Gurenlian @ Pam.Gurenlian@ssdstudents.org or call: 610-938-6620. This is a Rain or Shine event from 9am-2pm in the parking lot at Scenic Hills (235 Hillview Drive, Springfield, PA). The cost is $25.00 for 2 parking spots.

CARE PACKAGE COLLECTION:

Please assist us in helping a high school student with his Eagle Scout project of sending care packages to active duty military overseas. There will be a drop off box in the main office of ETR for any items that you could donate towards the care packages.

The collections will start on Monday, March 19 until Monday, April 30. Please see the list of items that are being requested in ETR's Cougar Tracks on Wed.

8TH GRADE CAREER DAY:

YMCA SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION:

Registration for the YMCA Summer Camp has begun. The Camp at SHS is for grades 1st-8th, Monday thru Friday, starting June 18th to August 3rd from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Please visit www.cyed.org/programs/summer-camp to register.
