Google Earth requires a consistent connection to the internet, and is constantly communicating with the Google servers and will consume a larger amount of bandwidth on a wireless network. Depending on the strength of the network, the number of students on the program at the same time may impact speed.
Google Earth does need to be installed on a computer in order to run.
