About me
My name is Mr. Corey Balaban and I am the English/Language Arts teacher on the 7th grade Explorers team here at ETR. This is my fourth year at ETR . I am originally from Bucks County but currently live in Old City, Philadelphia with my wife and our dog, Frankie. I graduated from Temple University.
Course Syllabus
Homework Club
Homework Club is offered on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at ETR. It will be held in Room 140 with Ms. DiGregorio. Homework Club will run right after school until 3:45 PM. Transportation will NOT be provided, so please make sure you have a way of getting home. Permission Slips are needed to attend Homework Club. Below is the link to sign up for the Homework Club:
Second Chance Learning
ETR believes that learning the essential content is the best preparation students can have for college and career readiness. The demands of second chance learning are shared by the teacher and the student. Teachers provide the opportunity, and students take on the responsibility of completing the agreed upon plan. Second chance learning may include reteaching, extra practice, tutoring, and the opportunity to demonstrate learning on another assessment.
