Course Description

Participants in this training will be provided with a transdisciplinary approach to balanced literacy strategies and materials for students with complex cognitive, physical, and communication needs. Participants will learn strategies for assessments, how to incorporate assistive technology and augmentative communication tools in their instruction, and ways to provide physical access for all students. Throughout this staff development strand, participants will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to be able to address a variety of student needs and increase student engagement. This training is for staff who work to meet the literacy and communication needs of their students.
