Music, Dance, Media, Theater, and Visual Arts are the five disciplines that comprise Visual And Performing Arts (aka VAPA) studies in California.

Our primary focus here at the PRIDE Academy during this first year of implementation of VAPA studies will be Music. The goal of the program is to foster and develop artistic literacy as students engage in creating, performing, responding, and connecting. Musical instruction will include percussion and other non-pitched instruments for rhythmic development as well as vocal and instrumental instruction for  both solo and ensemble participation.
