We will be studying landscape painting as it evolved chronologically during this semester. We learn to see how artists viewed the land in their time in history. Therefore developing particular styles, approaches & techniques to execute how they see their surroundings.
We will learn concepts such as
Traditional
Modern
Post-Modern

Use the four Frames - Subjective, Structural, Cultural & Postmodern
to analyse artworks
Research artists & artworks using the Conceptual Framework
&
Look at the artist practice of some landscape artists

We will draw landscapes using charcoal, pastels & graphite pencils;
paint in an impressionistic loose style;
& construct a ceramic vessel which reflects their surroundings.
