Upon logging in your account, from the dashboard page, scroll down to find the “Filtered Course List”. The Filtered Course List will show you all of the courses and units you are currently teaching.
To access the resources and assessments of one unit, click the unit’s name.
Tip: We recommend opening each unit page in a new tab If you need to access multiple unit pages at once or will have to access other features of the dashboard.
3. After clicking the unit’s name, the site will now redirect you to the unit’s resources and assessments. Your page should now look like this, depending on the unit you have selected.
Let’s go over each section of the page.
The left side of the unit page serves as your Course Index for easier navigation and access to any of the resources, quizzes or assessments. You may close the Course Index by clicking the “X” button at the top left, and open it again by clicking the three-lined menu icon at the top left of the page.
Next are the course blocks on the right side of the page. The course blocks provide you information about the current unit page you are in. It shows you your course completion status (i.e your progress report of unit), recent activities done by the students, trainers or administrators, or the list of activities included in the unit.
Similar to the Course Index Page above, you may exit the Course Blocks by clicking the "X" button at the top right, and open it back again by clicking the arrow icon on the top right side of the page.
Let's head on to the Course Resources and Assessments.
Note: The terms "Course" and "Unit" are used interchangeably in this guide. The two terms are the same and always refers to the subject you are taking in a particular qualification.
The Unit Resources section is located in the middle of the page and consists of four sections namely: Introduction, Trainer Resources, Weekly Resources, and Assessments.
The Introduction section provides you the Session Plan, Pre-course Activity, and Announcement. As a trainer, you may require the students to complete the Pre-course Activity prior to starting the course, depending on your lesson plan. The Announcement activity allows you to post any important events related to the course which the students can view and comment.
Next is the Trainer Resources Section. This section provides you all of the resources you will need both for the training and assessments. The said section also allows you to record the student's attendance during class through the Attendance plugin.
Note: The Trainer Resources are not accessible to the students.
The third section of the Unit Resources page consist of the Weekly Resources that you and the students will use during the training. It includes the Student Study Guides, Powerpoint Presentations, and Weekly Quizzes.
The last section of the unit page is the Unit Assessment section which consists of the assessments the students will have to complete to achieve a Competent or Not Yet Competent mark in the unit. It includes both the Knowledge Assessments, which are mostly automatically marked by the LMS, and Practical Assessments. The additional and necessary assessment templates and/or relevant documents such as the Simulation Pack are also included here.
To access and preview each task/assessment or weekly quiz, click the task name you wish to access, and select Preview Quiz.
That concludes our user guide for accessing Resources.
