Student Brand Ambassadors
PPD needs younger color users (stats are showing the average age of PPD color users keeps averaging up.
Students want recognition from brands and the Brand artists (You do not need a mentor program)
PPD Brands Invite 1 student for every 50 stu at each PPD school to participate in Collab Posts (PPD is already doing this with brand artists) PPD send a retail product and hashtag requirements for the student to do a review/"do your hair with me" post
This will increase retail sales in the school channel, it will get you micro influencers at no cost to every metro nationwide that are all connected to new stylists, This shows young stylists that the brands are behind them.
These social posts need to be 1/3 retail focused 1/3 service focused, and 1/3 Treatment focused so the products sent must align
Salon Centric initiative should align with it when possible: we can never talk about sell through or retail sales growth with students, we can with schools directors and owners. We need to talk about student artists finding their next favorite product and sharing it with the world, they are artists first and we all know artists do not embrace sales but they love to be front runners with style.
Here's how to create an Instagram Collab post:
Start a new post: Tap the "+" button to begin creating a new post (feed post or Reel).
Add content and caption: Choose your media, write a caption, and add any necessary details like location or hashtags.
Tag people and invite collaborators: Tap "Tag People" and then "Invite Collaborator".
Search for and add collaborators: Search for the other account(s) you want to collaborate with and select their profile.
Share the post: Once collaborators accept the invite, the post will be visible on all their profiles and feeds.
Collaborator acceptance: Collaborators receive a notification and can accept or decline the invitation.
Original author retains control: The original poster retains control and can remove collaborators or delete the post, which will remove it from all collaborator profiles.

How do we support creation of more PNW events/classes with SSBC, SalonCentric, and PPD
Young stylists and students biggest fear is that they are like everybody else, while trying to be "cool" and in trend.
This is a huge opportunity to help connect more salons to SalonCentric, PPD, and Summit Consulting
Increase in PNW purchasing with PPD
Hosting these events inside of school partners locations allows the school to work to get more commission salons connected and hiring their grad’s which works to benefit their Gainful employment and placement
Increasing Marketing and Community Awareness
Brand logos and imagery in Admissions offices, classrooms, and entry ways - make available in level
Logos on Mirrors - Print mirror clings or make available in level
Retail shelving - Mizani - Loreal pro - Biolage - Matrix
Help small companies tap into your large resources, PPD has agencies that support social/digital tools:
Use those agencies to create packages for salons that can be purchased with Level Loyalty.
Create a Schools Planogram for Salon Emotion
Brand Collaboration Campaigns: PPD can invite 1 student per 50 enrolled to participate in social media “collab” posts. These would include:
Free product (retail, treatment, or styling)
Clear hashtag instructions
Content focus: 1/3 service, 1/3 treatment, 1/3 retail
Why it matters:
Builds early brand loyalty
Turns students into micro-influencers
Increases school retail performance organically
Feeds the future talent pipeline for both salons and PPD brands
The average age of PPD color users is climbing—brands must engage younger consumers now.
Students don’t need long-term mentorship—just recognition, tools, and a creative stage.
“Student Brand Ambassadors” could post “Get Ready With Me” or “Hair Journey” Reels using PPD products.
Leverage big-brand content and mirror it at the student level—like influencer campaigns, but localized.
Instagram Collab Post Guide (included for easy onboarding): Tap "+", add content, invite collaborator, and share once accepted.
Framing Matters: We don’t talk to students about sales—we talk about discovering their “next favorite product.”
Host more PNW events featuring SSBC, SalonCentric & PPD.
Invite local salons and use the school as a venue.
These events drive:
Local product sales
Connections between salons and grads
Brand visibility in a high-growth region
Increase visibility inside the Academy:
Brand logos in Admissions, Classrooms, Retail Areas, Mirrors
PPD-branded planograms (e.g. Salon Emotion layout)
Retail shelving highlights: Mizani, L’Oréal Pro, Biolage, Matrix
Position the school as a model campus for how to elevate the beauty education experience.
Use PPD’s agency tools to create ready-to-use digital/social media kits that salons can purchase with Level Loyalty Points.
Help salons compete with modern marketing—even if they don’t have internal teams.
