CLASSROOM NORMS:

Login and Attendance:

• be on time and prepared

• support your class with respect and a positive attitude

Use of Phones and Recording Devices

• to protect everyone's privacy, use of recording devices in class without consent is strictly prohibited.

• teacher consent is required before photographs, audio recordings, or video recordings are made in class.

• no cell phones in class, period. The only exception is if I instruct you to do so. I will give you a verbal warning for the first violation (and email your parents),  I will confiscate your phone thereafter. 

Acceptable Classroom Behavior 

• be respectful of others and wait your turn to speak

• be available to answer questions, at any time  

• remove all other electronic devices from your workspace area to avoid distractions

Behavior Consequences

• students will be given ONE FRIENDLY WARNING of the norms then participation grade will loose points

• if not attending class, student will be responsible for all work missed during the class period 

• teacher will contact parents AND report the violation to the Administration when appropriate.

Communication Protocol

• Step 1: Student talks with Teacher

• Step 2: Student and Parent/Caregivexr talks with Teacher

• Step 3: Student and Parent/Caregiver talks with Counselor 

• Step 4: Student and Parent/Caregiver talks with Teacher, Counselor and Assistant Principal 

• Step 5: Student and Parent/Caregiver meets with Teacher, Counselor, Assistant Principal and Principal
