Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. 

We are proud to support you in your desire to take one or more Advanced Placement exams this year. Last Year Dougherty Valley We want to provide you with the following information to ensure you can successfully register for your desired exams.

At this time, Advanced Placement exams are set to be administered in person during the first two weeks of May. Once again, the San Ramon Valley Unified School District is partnering with Achievement Point Test Service (APTS) to facilitate registration and payment.

EXAM SCHEDULE

The 2024 AP Exams will be administered in schools over two weeks in May: May 6–10 and May 13–17. The San Ramon Valley Unified School District is partnering again with Achievement Point Test Service (APTS) to facilitate registration and payment. This process will begin on Monday, August 28, 2023.

This process will begin on Monday, August 28, 2023. AP exam registration consists of two steps:

STEP 1: ACTIVATE EXAM

DEADLINE IS OCTOBER 6, 2023

PRO TIP: Use a personal email account so CollegeBoard is accessible when/if you exit SRVUSD.

STEP 2: FEE SUBMISSION 

DEADLINE IS OCTOBER 6, 2023

NOTE: CollegeBoard deadlines may differ from those listed here. SRVUSD students need to follow the deadlines on this document.

You have to complete both steps to be able to take the AP Exam in May!

Canceling an AP Exam is a two-step process:

 Once your request is granted, you will receive a confirmation email from your AP Coordinator.

College Board is extremely strict regarding qualifying for rescheduling an AP® exam to the Late Testing (make-up) window. In addition, the reason for requesting late testing must also meet the local school district regulations for excused absences. AP Exam 


In conjunction with College Board regulations, SRVUSD approved reasons to reschedule an exam include:

Students with Accomodations

If you have a disability that affects how you test, you may be eligible for accommodations on your AP Exams. College Board’s Services must approve your request for accommodations for the Students with Disabilities (SSD) office.

Once you submit, you will not be able to edit the information yourself; however, you can submit documentation to explain any changes you would like to make or contact SSD customer service directly.

What is the family's role in the online submission process?

The student's parent or guardian must sign the consent form before the submission of an online request. If the student is 18 or over, the student may sign the form.
