Order and Disorder: Making Sense and Nonsense with Jenyth Jo"
What happens in class when your comma is misplaced or your modifier is dangling? Out comes the red ink!
In this seminar, you'll be encouraged to experiment with marks of punctuation, word order, and the music of poetry as we play Sound Volleyball, Found Word-Music, Crazy Rhyme Quilt, Syntax Switch, and Mix it Up. We'll read poems by Audre Lorde, Alexander Pope, e.e. cummings, and more. All writers welcome.

Poets are collectors – of experiences, of memories, of artifacts. In this workshop we’ll explore ways to build a poem by sifting through the images and emotions that objects hold to craft something original, personal, and true.
April 20
"Slam Poetry with Kerri Knapp"
This workshop will introduce you to the art of slam poetry and allow you to create your own verses. Participants are encouraged to join to learn all the basics of slam poetry as well as ways to grow your craft as an already established slam poet.
