VARDHAMAN MAHAVIR JAIN TEMPLE
Keesaragutta Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva and his consort Parvati at Keesaragutta , Keesara Village in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, Telangana, India. It is about 30 km from Hyderabad and 12 km from ECIL. It is located on a small hillock. The temple draws up to lakhs of devotees on the Maha Shivaratri festival and during the Kartika month of the Hindu Calender.
The lake attracts many birds, making it a good birdwatching spot. A resort run by the Government of Telangana is located near the lake. The Outer Ring Road will pass close to the lake.[1] There are many resorts and private dhabas around the lake. The Celebrity Club, Alankrita Resort, and Leonia Resorts are not very far from the lake.
This Shri Vardhaman Swami Jain Mandir belongs to the Shwetambar Murtipujak sect of Jainism. Lord Mahavira, also known as Vardhamana, was the 24th Tirthankara (propagator of dharma) in Jainism, who revived and reorganised the religion. Lord Mahavira was born into a royal Kshatriya Jain family in present-day Bihar. He abandoned all worldly possessions at the age of about 30 and left home in pursuit of spiritual awakening, becoming an ascetic.
