Mrs. Huch is a proud graduate of Rowan University, holding a B.A. in Theatre Arts/Musical Theatre as well as a M.A. in Theatre Arts Administration. She also attended Stockton University pursuing her M.A. in Education via the Alternate Route Teaching program. Jessica is a dedicated theatre professional, determined to bring the best to her craft and to her students. She continues to work professionally throughout the region, and brings her expertise with her wherever she goes, whether it be into a classroom or onto the stage. In addition to educating young theatre artists at Southern, she is the founder and producing artistic director of local theatre company, Bellarine. Jessica's direction and choreography can be seen on local stages with Bellarine Theatre Company and at Southern Regional High School. She believes in continuing education, which is why you may see her taking class in NYC as well! When Mrs. Huch is not onstage, backstage, or in a classroom, you can find her snuggled at home with her husband, her pups, and her son Aaron!
SPRING MUSICAL: SHREK!
Shrek the Musical follows the story of an ogre who, wanting his swamp back, makes a deal with the short-tempered Lord Farquaad: rescue Princess Fiona from a dragon in exchange for his swamp. He teams up with a Donkey, and they find the princess, who has a secret curse that transforms her into an ogress at sunset. Ultimately, the unlikely heroes save each other and learn that true beauty is on the inside.
