Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance(CEIAG) at SRRCC

Welcome to our SRRCC Careers website

The purpose and role of the Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) at St Richard Reynolds Catholic College (SRRCC) is to promote a career development culture by providing an independent, impartial and up to date careers advice and guidance to our students. We firmly believe that this advice and guidance will help them to make informed choices about their future education, training or jobs. We aim to raise and support the aspirations of all our students and to ensure that they gain the understanding, skills and experience they need to make progress and succeed in learning and world of work. We also strongly believe that effective careers education and guidance not only contributes to the well-being of individuals but also to the well-being of their families, the communities to which they belong, wider society, businesses and the economy.

In order to deliver Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance to our pupils, our Careers department at SRRCC follows all 8 Gatsby Benchmarks set up by the Gatsby Foundation and is committed to the pursuit of excellence in all that we do and we work tirelessly to fulfill them. Our stable and structured careers programme is available to our students, teachers, governors, parents and local employers and is reviewed annually against the benchmarks to ensure it remains on target. Throughout the school's journey all our students are being prepared for their future and enhance their social mobility. They will achieve this by being ambitious and knowing what they need to do to fulfil their ambitions, and how to manage their lifelong career and learning.
