Kelita Hoffman - our founder
Kelita is a mom of a beautiful 4 year old son who already has 10 surgeries under his belt and a 1 year old girl. Together with her husband too much of their time is spent managing diagnoses, doctors and therapists, taking meds and living on the edge. Some of their unique needs: a cleft lip and palate, fistulotomies, epilepsy, speech delay, sensory processing disorder, glasses, grommets, continuous traumatic stress disorder and finding time for the regular stuff.
Through unexpected encounters on their journey with a host of amazing people who were guardian angels, Kelita and her family have learned the power of true kindness and a whole-hearted mitzvah from those that give with no expectation in return, to help or uplift someone at just the right moment.
"We are parents who want to pass on that kindness through this gift – a gesture from the heart. And so Challah2Share was founded, amidst a devastating pandemic."
She is also a full-time practicing corporate lawyer and has a Master’s degree from U.C. Berkeley in California. She also served in the I.D.F.
She is a blogger on resilience & special needs parenting (www.whatthecleft.com and @whatthecleft on Facebook and Instagram).
Michelle is Challah2Share's very first volunteer and is the foundation of our campaign. She gives from her heart and never stops giving. She juggles 3 kids, a pressurizing telecommunications job, cares for her dad and still manages to deliver challahs for hours on end every week. She is absolutely hysterical, grateful always and nothing is ever too much for her. She is the most genuine person around.
Jodi keeps Challah2Share in line. She is a grade R teacher and mom of 2 boys who keep her busy. Jodi's mind is always ticking and makes Challah2Share better for it. She ropes her family into all efforts and can always be counted on. With Jodi every sticker is always straight, no volunteer is ever overlooked and the world is a better place because of her giving.
