About Me - Mrs. Wolfe

Hello! My name is Patricia Wolfe and I am so happy to teach here at St. Rose of Lima. I am a Cal State graduate and did my post graduate work at Marygrove University. My teaching career began in Castaic, CA where I taught a bilingual Spanish second grade class. As my husband’s job required us to move out of state, I gained more experience teaching fourth grade in Florida. Later we moved to Eaton Rapids, Michigan where I taught K-9 Art History, a 1st/2nd grade split class and lastly spent 17 years in Kindergarten. We then moved to Hastings and I am so blessed and excited to be your child’s teacher this year!

I have been teaching since 1987 and I have had the opportunity to witness various needs of all ages of children. From school to school and age to age, student’s needs vary; but one thing remains constant, the children need stability and consistency in their lives. We all live in a hectic world these days and many parents are both in the workforce. As you drop off your child to me each morning, I want you to feel confident and at ease that they are in good hands. My mission is to lead them through a safe, caring, productive and creative day of learning. I will teach them right from wrong, to share and respect each other’s feelings.

My academic goals are to concentrate on the St. Rose mission statement and the Dioceses of Kalamazoo curriculum thus providing a well-rounded education. I intend to treat your children as I would want my children and grandchildren to be treated. Your child will be challenged throughout our day yet at the same time have fun! St. Rose is the hidden gem in Hastings and I believe your child can be happy here with small class sizes.

I will be writing a newsletter which will come home in your child’s folder.This folder also serves as a great tool for getting personal notes to each other. Working as a team- parent, teacher and child- we can make this a truly successful year. I look forward to your support as we begin your child’s academic journey!

H! I am Mrs. Patricia Wolfe. This is a class picture taken after a field trip this year to Cotant's Apple Orchard. It was a misty day but we sure had fun picking an apple and playing inside. We can't wait for next year's trip!
