At Venetia Valley's LEAP After School Program, our work is grounded in four essential pillars: Community, Consistency, Courage, and Culture. We believe these pillars are not just values we see them as the foundation that allows our program to truly support and uplift our students and families.
Community is at the heart of everything we do. We strive to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where students feel a sense of belonging. Building strong relationships among students, staff, and families fosters trust and mutual respect, which is key to student success.
Consistency provides stability and structure. We know that many students thrive when they have dependable routines and clear expectations. By being present, reliable, and intentional in our daily practices, we help students feel safe and supported every day.
Courage encourages growth. We aim to inspire our students to step outside of their comfort zones, advocate for themselves, and face challenges with resilience. As coordinators, we model courage by continuously learning, adapting, and standing up for what our students need.
Culture reflects our commitment to celebrating the diverse identities and backgrounds within our school community. By embracing and honoring different traditions, languages, and experiences, we help students develop pride in who they are and respect for others.
Together, these four pillars guide our decisions, shape our programming, and ensure that we are creating a space where every student can thrive.
