A Huntington Health Blood Drive sponsored by the SPHS ASB will be held on November 12 in the practice gym. The ASB is holding sign ups for students from November 4 -10th on the Tiger Patio and in front of the choir room. Blood donors will receive a gift card to In-N-Out or Amazon, and 3 hours of community service. Anyone 16 or over can register!

SkillsUSA is currently holding a shoe drive fundraiser, working with an organization to give back to the community. We are accepting all gently worn, used, and new shoes, sneakers, and even cleats. However, certain types of footwear aren’t accepted, including single shoes or mismatched pairs of shoes, ice skates, rollerblades/roller skates, wet/moldy shoes, shoes with holes or tears, and shoes from thrift stores. If you have any shoes that you are willing to donate, please stop by room 613 or drop off in front office

Volunteer opportunities are still available for the Pasadena Symphony’s Season Opener Concert on Saturday, November 8 at the Ambassador Auditorium (131 S St John Ave, Pasadena, CA 91005)
There are two volunteer shifts available:
Shift 1: 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM (4.5 hours)
Shift 2: 6:00 PM – 10:30 PM (4.5 hours)
Volunteer roles include:
Ushering and ticket scanning
Event set-up and breakdown
ADA/Wheelchair Assistance
Providing general audience support and wayfinding

Community Service Opportunity for Juniors and Seniors: Cal State Los Angeles Learning Center is looking for volunteers to help tutor students with learning difficulties in the areas of writing and reading help. The Learning Center is a historic tutoring center serving underprivileged students from our surrounding area. This is a unique opportunity to work on a college campus under the supervision of graduate students.Tutors will report to Cal State LA (free parking pass will be provided) on Saturdays from 9:00 to 11:30.
