About Me
I am very happy to be back at SPMS for a seventh year! Throughout the year, I hope to get to know all of you very well--here's a headstart about me!
I have lived in the Pasadena area for my entire life. I attended Westridge School for Girls from the 4th thru 12th grade (we called that being a "lifer") and then completed my undergraduate degree at Occidental College. Currently, I hold Single Subject Credentials in English and Social Studies and a Master's Degree in history from Queen's University, Belfast.
In 2016 I moved to Belfast, Northern Ireland to go back to school. Living in another culture for a year was an amazing experience and being a full-time student again reminded me of the evils of homework (sorry, I'm still going to assign it)! I was lucky enough to have many opportunities to travel throughout Ireland and Europe while I was abroad. This picture is from the top of Edinburgh Castle in Scotland and, while I'm not a terribly skilled selfie taker, it did prove to my mother that I was alive and well!
When I'm not busy at school, I love to read, spend time with my family and travel. I have been to Brazil, Peru, Mexico, India, England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Canada, France, and to almost every state in the US. Alaska, Istanbul, and Iceland are next on my to-do list...maybe next summer!
