Class Policies
EXPECTATIONS
Be Ready
o Check into class prepared with all necessary materials, stay engaged by asking questions and participating in discussions, and be prepared to be called on at any time during class.
Be Respectful
o Be mindful of everything you say and post online. Be kind and respect your classmates and teacher(s).
Be Responsible
o Stay organized, make a daily schedule, log into class on time (or early), and email teachers as needed.
Failure to follow these guidelines will result in consequences.
GRADING
Students and parents can access grades anytime through Aeries.
Please make sure to check grades regularly. Students should email me with any questions or concerns regarding grades.
PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism, copying the thoughts, ideas, words, or other intellectual property of another, is a serious situation. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. All assignments that are plagiarized will be given a zero with no opportunity to resubmit the assignment. Please make sure that you properly cite all borrowed material. If you are unsure of whether or not to cite content, please ask for help. Cheating will be handled on a case by case situation. Students who cheat on quizzes and tests will receive a zero.
LATE WORK
Late work is accepted up to one week late, but the score will be 50%
Late projects or essays lose 10% for each class period late.
If you are absent, you will not be penalized for late work, but please communicate with me when you return.
AERIES
A red box in the Aeries portal means that an assignment is missing. It can be changed. If you see a red box, it most likely means that you forgot to turn in the assignment or your name was not on it. You may still turn it in for late credit.
