The Office of the Vice President for Academic Services (OVPAcS) serves as the cornerstone of academic affairs at St. Paul University - Surigao (SPUS), overseeing a spectrum of educational initiatives. Under the guidance of President Sr. Marie Rosanne Mallillin, SPC, OVPAcS is dedicated to the sustainable delivery of high-quality, Christ-centered programs and services to students and stakeholders alike.
Directly reporting to the President, the Vice President for Academic Services assumes a pivotal role in executing the university's educational policies and programs. This entails fostering, monitori ng, and enhancing instructional practices and academic endeavors. Additionally, OVPAcS spearheads the strategic planning, execution, and assessment of instruction, programs, and activities, ensuring students receive unparalleled training and education.
At the helm of OVPAcS is Dr. Melvin Ninal, the Vice President for Academic Services, supported by Mrs. Mary Jane Gipala as the office secretary. Their leadership is complemented by the SPUS Academic Council, comprising college deans, the university registrar, the director for libraries, and heads of laboratories. Together, they form a dynamic team committed to academic excellence and holistic student development.
