The Art of Inclusive Leadership can best be described as the curriculum we use in SPS to ensure our leaders understand the complexities of human behavior and the impact of background experiences on each person's leadership journey. During the 2022-2023 kick off session, Suffolk Public Schools partnered with True Color Inc. to lay the foundation for the True Colors' insightful personality-identification system. True Colors provides individuals with personal and professional development skills and drives organizational excellence through higher engagement , improved communication, and teamwork.
Coffee Break is a time where formal and informal leaders can come together and be intentional about discussing leadership topics. In just 15 minutes, it provides a valuable pause for leadership development, conveniently scheduled before or after school hours to accommodate the busy schedules.
NEXT LEVEL is a group of recognized aspiring leaders in our school division. They work together through The Art of Inclusive Leadership to bolster their leadership perspective, getting ready for possible future roles within the division.

The mission of Suffolk Public Schools' Office of Professional Learning is to provide professional growth opportunities and training that support sustainable capacity building programs. Professional growth activities will provide teachers with resources and knowledge to enhance acquired skills that result in effective and innovative teaching, as well as increased student achievement.
The purpose of this event is to empower administrators with tools and resources to develop meaningful tech infused goals for their upcoming Continuous Improvement Plans.
In collaboration with our university partner(s), chosen SPS staff can enroll in a Masters or Ed.S. program in educational leadership. This opportunity reflects our commitment to academic excellence and personal growth, offering a transformative journey to become visionary leaders shaping the future of education.

The Department of School Leadership and Innovation seeks to ensure that all schools receive timely support to reach full accreditation, promote innovation, develop leaders and improve school climate and culture.
