Orchestra Practicing Expectations

All students are expected to practice assigned exercises, scales, and music at home. Students are reminded what they should be practicing at home during class and homework is posted on the daily agenda slideshows in Canvas. Parents/Guardians, Orchestra is an academic class just like Math and Language Arts and students sometimes need your reminders and encouragement to complete their practicing homework. 

Minimum at-home practice expectations: 

                                                6th Grade Orchestra                                                                           7th Grade Orchestra                                                                          8th Grade Orchestra

1st Semester:        15 minutes, 6 days a week                                                         30 minutes, 6 days a week                                                      45 minutes, 6 days a week

2nd Semester:     30 minutes, 6 days a week                                                         45 minutes, 6 days a week                                                      60 minutes, 6 days a week
