Course Description
Your CFCMS Chorus is designed with the intent to provide every student with a well rounded, sequential, and comprehensive choral education. Arts education programs of this nature engage students in a process that helps to build life skills such as self-esteem, self-discipline, cooperation, and self motivation. Through studies in the arts, students will gain essential knowledge as defined by the National Standards for Education in the Arts and The Fine Arts Standards of Learning (SOL) for Virginia Public Schools, as well as the National Core Standards.

Binder is meant to be used only for Chorus, not additional subjects.

Concerts & Attire
Performance is an imperative component of ensemble musicianship. Therefore, concerts are mandatory and graded.

Black Dress Pants - Plain blue jeans (no rips)
Black Dress Shoes - Close-toed shoes
Concert Absence Policy
Performances and after school rehearsals are required and graded.
Absences must be sent to Ms. Haigh in writing 2 weeks in advance by guardians in order to qualify for an alternate assignment.
Un-notified absences will not qualify for make-up work.
