South Portland School Department and Brown School have worked extremely hard to prepare for the opening of the school for 5 days a week.. The following are new guidelines that we are following in Ms. McNally's class to increase the safety of student and staff.
South Portland School Department and Brown School have worked extremely hard to prepare for the opening of the school for 5 days a week.. The following are new guidelines that we are following in Ms. McNally's class to increase the safety of student and staff.
Students must be able to maintain wearing a mask for at least 10 minutes. Please practice at home!
Students will learn to follow social distancing guidelines.
Families and staff are expected to conduct symptom checks each morning before getting on the bus or arriving at school.
Staff in PPE: daily precautions being taken in uniform and face protections.
Virtual Connections: IEP meetings and student staffings as needed.
Outside play and learning whenever possible.
Scheduling and procedures within the classroom that allows for contact tracing.
Snack and lunch procedures within the classroom that follow all health and safety guidelines.
New expectations for material storage, lining up, hallway, bathroom, arrival and dismissal procedures.
Y.E.S students: focusing on functional and social skills while maintaining and learning academic skills at your students' level.
