In the wild iguanas live in warm sunny areas such as Mexico, Brazil, South America,Florida and the Caribbean islands. Sadly people hunt and eat wild iguanas[which I disapprove].They like trees and will plunge into the warm water if disturbed. Male iguanas are 13 pounds average females weigh half that.
