THE JUMPSTART BAND WORKSHOP IS DESIGNED FOR ANY SAPSD STUDENT BEGINNING A NEW CONCERT BAND INSTRUMENT. IT IS A COMPLETELY FREE EXPERIENCE!
STUDENTS WILL SPEND AN ENTIRE DAY LEARNING FROM PROFESSIONAL CLINICIANS & VETERAN MUSICIANS TO GET A 'JUMPSTART' ON LEARNING THEIR NEW INSTRUMENT.
SAPSD STUDENTS IN GRADES 6-9 ARE ELIGIBLE TO ATTEND.
PLEASE DIRECT ALL QUESTIONS TO YOUR BAND DIRECTOR.
NEED TO KNOW INFORMATION:
Participants must have a ride to, and from, the workshop venue. No transportation will be provided by the schools.
Students are required to bring their instrument 🎷, a water bottle 🥤, and any musical documentation 📄 provided by their band instructor. (ie. fingering charts, scores, etc.)
Cheese pizza 🍕 will be provided for lunch.
To attend, students must correctly and comprehensively fill out the 'Jumpstart Band Workshop' permission form provided by their band director (no exceptions).
