Volunteer in the Classroom

Dear Parents,

There are many ways that you can volunteer to help our class! Some parents like to come in and spend time in the classroom. Others cannot do so due to their work schedules but can help out in other ways.

1.) Volunteer for Daily ILA/Math Centers during W.I.N. ("What I Need") time. Centers are Monday through Thursday from 11:30-12:30(ish). These volunteers MUST ALREADY HAVE CLEARANCES THROUGH THE DIOCESE OF HARRISBURG. Please read the checklist below if you are interested in obtaining your Diocesan Clearances to help with Centers.

Please Sign Up for January Centers Below!

2.) Volunteer to help the teacher with classroom prep work. For example, cut lamination and cut parts for crafts. This can be done at home, so you do not have to have clearances to do so. I will let those who are interested know when help is needed, but please adhere to due dates.

3.) Sign up periodically to donate materials for crafts, cooking projects, and STEAM activities. I will occasionally send an email with a digital sign-up form for items needed for certain activities, such as craft materials or ingredients for a cooking project. You may also look at the "KA Wish List" tab on my website to donate to the classroom.

4.) Sign up to be a homeroom parent! We have two parties during the school year where I need parents to plan and carry out the classroom parties (Halloween and Christmas). I do not need parents for any other classroom parties, but I will need the homeroom parents to provide materials. Parents who would like to come into the classroom during parties must have their clearances.

Thank you all for your help. I appreciate you!

Many blessings,

Ms. Melphis

Adult School Volunteers

The following items are required for adult school volunteers (Centers, Tutor during W.I.N. Time, Lead Reading/Math Groups, Classroom Parties, Field Trips). You do not need clearances for lunch duty in the cafeteria.
