Dear KA Families,
There are many ways you can volunteer to help in our classroom! Being part of your child's education is a wonderful opportunity, and we would love to have you involved in any capacity that works for you.
1.) Volunteer for Daily ILA/Math Centers during W.I.N. ("What I Need") time
Centers run Monday through Thursday from 11:30–12:30(ish). Volunteers for this role must already have clearances through the Diocese of Harrisburg. If you're interested in obtaining your Diocesan Clearances, please read the checklist below for next steps.
2.) Help with Classroom Prep Work
This includes tasks like cutting lamination or preparing craft materials. These jobs can be done at home, and clearances are not required. I’ll reach out as needed to those interested—just please be mindful of due dates.
3.) Donate Materials for Crafts, Cooking Projects, and STEAM Activities
Occasionally, I will send out a digital sign-up form with items needed for various classroom activities. You can also check the “KA Wish List” tab on my website to donate directly to our classroom.
4.) Sign Up to Be a Homeroom Parent
We have two main parties during the school year (Halloween and Christmas) that need planning and support. Homeroom parents will help organize and provide materials for these events. If you'd like to come into the classroom to help during the parties, you must have clearances.
Thank you all for your support—I truly appreciate each and every one of you!
Many blessings,
Miss Lloyd
Adult School Volunteers
The following items are required for adult school volunteers (Centers, Tutor during W.I.N. Time, Lead Reading/Math Groups, Classroom Parties, Field Trips). You do not need clearances for lunch duty in the cafeteria.
