Advice: Be passionate for learning and thinking more about the topics you’re debating. You can’t treat debate just as a call-and-response game of evidence. You have to be turning tough problems over in your head trying to think about which arguments genuinely resonate best with you and what angles other people might be missing.

What is Zack doing now? Digital Beat Reporter and Morning TV Host for ABC Action News - WFTS - Tampa Bay
Events Competed In: Policy Debate, Congress, US Extemp, Radio
Achievements: Qualified to Nats in 2012 in Policy Debate; Top 60 in Extemp Debate at Nats in 2012. 2nd Place in State in Policy Debate in 2012. Triple Qualified to State in 2012 in Policy Debate, Radio Speaking, and USX. 2012 Chair of Bob Bilyeu Winter Classic. 2012 NFL All-American.
Advice: Enjoy yourself. There's isn't a whole lot after you get out of debate that will scratch that itch. Having the confidence in yourself and your public speaking as you give presentations is nice, but there is nothing quite like being in a round.
