About Health Services

The mission of School Health Services is to nurture the growth, development and educational achievement of Seminole students by promoting their health and well being by providing care for students at the direction of their health care provider. We monitor the health status and identify and address the unmet needs of students, families and school staff by assessing and caring for minor injuries and illnesses that may occur during school hours along with supporting chronic health conditions. Our goal is to build public and private partnerships to ensure quality services that are effective, culturally appropriate, and compassionate to the diverse changing needs of students and the community.

About the School Nurse

I started my education at the Pontotoc Technology Center, where I obtained my LPN certification, in 2012. I continued by education at Murray State College and recieved my Associates in Applied Science and sat for the RN exam in 2020. I started my nursing career in 2012 with Valley View and Mercy in Ada, mainly in Pulmonology, Primary Care and Sports Medicine, before starting with Seminole Public Schools in 2020. I also started my journey as Head Volleyball Coach starting in 2021. I am so blessed to work for Seminole Schools. I love all of the students that I get to care for and interact with. Seminole also has some of the best staff ever!
