In the event of minor injuries or minor medical emergencies; where immediate medical attention is not needed and no lives are threatened, employees should inform supervisor or member of management as soon as reasonably possible. Supervisor or member of management will direct employee on the next course of action.

Is their massive Hemorrhaging?
Air Way and Breathing
Have someone else alert 911 if necessary. Send someone to entrance to watch for and clear a path for EMT's.
Risk of loss of Life, Limb or Eyesight
Call for Supervisor/Manager
If unconscious or not in right mind retrieve contact info and medical info (allergies & conditions)
Contact Emergency contact and inform
Provide information to Emergency Personnel
If the injury is severe but not life threatening the employee may be taken to the ER
For non less serious injuries, the employee should be taken to the WorkMed clinic for evaluation and care. Even if they think that thing are ok, they should still go to the clinic. (Alive and Well?)
Fill out work force services report. (Workers Compensation Claim)
If missing work, Contact manager and reach out to HR department.
Alert everyone in area including a Manager.
Identify where it is coming from.
Ensure that it is not coming from:
Vacuum Pumps
Dust Collectors
Spray Booth
Turn off power to all air sources or surrounding equipment (Vacuum Pump, Dust Collector, Spray Booth)
Buttons or E Stop at control panel if safe
Otherwise use the breaker panel to turn off power
If there fire small fire or smolder that is not currently posing an immediate risk:
Locate Fire Extinguisher Attempt to extinguish fire with fire extinguishers if possible while maintaining personal safety
Ask someone to alert a manager as well as everyone in building
If the fire is not immediately extinguished have someone alert the fire department
Evacuate and Report to Manager
Spray if needed.
If fire has spread beyond the spoil board and is not immediately extinguished, contact the fire department.
Evaluate lines & pumps for any sign if ember, smoke or heat
Monitor after restart
- Secure the space by identifying hazards and securing movable items.
- If possible, secure top heavy structures and appliances to the wall.
- Identify safe spots in your work area, such as strong desks and tables.
DO NOT RUN DURING THE EARTHQUAKE (DCH) DROP.COVER.HOLD
1. Drop where you are, onto your hands and knees. This position reduces risk from being knocked down and allows you to stay low and crowl to shelter if nearby.
2. Cover your head and neck with one arm and hand. if a sturdy table or desk is nearby, crawl underneath it for shelter, if no shelter is nearby, crawl next to an interior wall or structural column away from windows. Stay on your knees; bend over to protect vital organs.
3. Hold on during shaking stops. Under shelter: hold on to it with one hand, be ready to move with your shelter if it shifts. No shelter: hold on to your head and neck with both arms and hands.
- Evacuate quickly and safely to a safe meeting point.
- Check for people with injuries or damage that require immediate attention.
- Use your training in victims evacuation and first aid to assist those in need.
- Look around your environment to identify any new hazards such as damage electrical wiring, leaking gas lines or water lines.
- If you see downed power lines, consider them energized and stay well away from them and keep others stay away from them also. NEVER TOUCH DOWNED POWER LINES!! or other objects in contact with them.
Upon hearing an evacuation alarm, or on instruction of emergency control personnel:
1. Immediate cease all activity and secure personal valuables you have on hand.
2. Assist any person in immediate danger, but ONLY IF SAVE TO DO SO!
3. Secure any activity or process that may become hazardous or suffer damage if left unattended as a consequence of evacuation, BUT ONLY IF SAVE TO DO SO!, as turn off power of CNC, vacuum pump, dust collector, sanders etc.
4. Follow the directions given by emergency control personnel, and evacuate the building immediately.
5. Move calmly to the nominated evacuation assembly area and do not leave this area until the all clear has been given.
6. Follow the instructions of emergency control personnel and emergency services personnel.
