Physical Therapy Services

Occupational Therapy:

School based Occupational Therapy addresses the physical, cognitive, psycho-social, and sensory components of performance. Occupational Therapy practitioners focus on academics, play and leisure, social participation, self-care skills (activities of daily living), and transition/work skills to support the student's educational program.

Physical Therapy:

PT in the educational setting focuses specifically on assisting the student in accessing and participating in their education. School-based physical therapy services must be related to an educational need. Physical therapists work with students directly on motor and safety skills to improve mobility and independence, work with staff to facilitate the student’s participation in class activities and ensure the safety of all, and work to assist students’ access to their education as well as maneuvering throughout their school-based environment.
