What to print this month's theme poster?
This month your thematic resources focus on setting goals and developing systems that work. This includes setting goals and taking steps for self-care every day! This month’s theme “The Grass is Green Where You Water It” is a reminder that you must put an emphasis on areas in your life that you want to flourish.
You will find resources for you to support your students in those same areas. Self-care for students is so important especially during this stressful time. Working with students on understanding how they can reduce stress and anxiety is time well spent and has benefits that extend far beyond the classroom.
Our academic focus this month (and all year!) is on increasing reading volume and cultivating a love of reading from TK to 12th grade and beyond. We encourage you to read and discuss every day. Read for a variety of purposes and enjoy the wonderful world of reading from newspapers to poetry. We encourage variety! You will find tips for increasing motivation and reading strategies to help you support your children with reading every day!
Please take a little time to explore these resources, try a breathing exercise or daily mindfulness technique, and do the same with your students. Don’t forget, this is the Year of HERO and you are a hero!
The number one most important thing we can do to help our kids improve academically is to increase reading volume! Here are few ways you can make it happen.
