DESTINY DISCOVER
Follett Destiny is our library software. Let's use Destiny instead of Google! Instructional videos are shown below to help you navigate and get the most out of this powerful system.
Why Destiny before Google?
All the resources in Destiny Discover have been vetted by librarians for reliability, relevance, and currency. Google has no one vetting their search results. Google search results are generated by machine. Many Google results may be out of date, inaccurate, or extremely biased.
Logging In and the Benefits:
All the schools are listed with access at http://destinydiscover.com. For Location, students should select Texas. Then type their school name and select their campus. Each students may log in with his/her school username and password.
The software enables students who are logged in to access more than just books. They may also access our databases like Britannica Online, Gale Group/Cengage, the Adam Matthews' databases like American Indian or American West, and others that may be unique to the students' campuses. Once logged in to Destiny Discover, students do not need to remember usernames and passwords for all these databases.
In addition, the students who log in have access to free online resources and digital resources, as well as e-books.
Get the app!
In addition, there is an app for mobile users. It's called Destiny Discover and is available for Android or IOS users, Kindle, Nook, or desktops. See http://bit.ly/2wxvcf9 for help downloading the app.
